Arboretum and a Special Gift

Monday was a wonderful day! We awoke to the sight of the sun for the first time in weeks, so Sarah and decided to head out to the Arboretum. We had a blast out there. Here are some photos...

We took our first tram ride...us and some grey hairs! :)

Our Norwegian tour guide with the best Minnesota Accent ever!

Just before the tour began...

So much anticipation!

Mommy relaxing in the shade...

So many flowers in peak season...

So pretty!! Everything was looking SO green!

Pretty Mommy!

Looking more pregnant every day....

Daddy too!!

Then we met Sarah's Parents for dinner. They gave us a beautiful cradle for potsticker. It was made by one Becky's coworkers! It is just beautiful! Such a cool surprise!

Another Night at the Rothers'

Sarah and I are relaxing after a couple of busier days. Today we spent some time hanging posters in Sarah's new classroom at Chan High School. We picked up our first box of veggies from our summer coop farm and made some rhubarb dessert with some of the goods! Now we are just relaxing (Daddy's playing video games and Mommy is resting with the cats). Blanche...the brown one is feeling extra cuddly tonight, wanting to sprawl right on top of Mama.

And Rose is not far away...sleeping in her special place in the cushions behind Sarah's head!

The bottles are ready and Sarah is getting there!

Sarah and I are finally enjoying a little summer. It is a fine balance of relaxing and preparing for Potsticker. It is hard to not spend too much money on baby things every time we go to a store. Finally the weather has begun to cooperate today! I think 70s and sunny is perfect for my wife! As I type this, she is reading in the shade on the patio.

Sarah unloaded a bunch of bottles into the cupboard yesterday (thanks Kate for the contributions)...

And for those that haven't seen Sarah in a while, here is a progress picture!

Wiggly Worm

3:30 is always a very active time of the day for Potsticker.  Today the baby's movements were big enough that I could see my stomach twitch.  So, Travis came over and sat next to me. With some patience and a little bit of waiting, he was able to feel the baby move for the first time.  It was a very cool moment!
