Maggie's first Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving brought many firsts for Maggie.


Her first stay in a hotel. You can see she enjoyed cuddling with daddy on the hotel bed.


Her first time meeting uncle Adam.



-first time visiting grandma and grandpa Burnett at their farm. It will be great when she is old enough to go outside and see the animals. This year she hung out with grandma a lot.

Maggie's Milestones

Stealing the idea from Mommy and Daddy's new guilty pleasure, Pinterest, we are going to try and document more of Maggie's major milestones. So here are the first two:

Future teacher?

Maggie is getting better and better at grasping objects. So, Travis got a pen in her hand and she assisted him in correcting some essays. It sure is nice to have a teachers' assistant in the family.

Eight Weeks and Counting

An update: Daddy has been working hard the last few weeks to finish his principal's internship and to prepare his efolio for his final presentation and interview on Saturday. Mommy has been getting back to reading and enjoying her evening baths.

Oh...you want to hear about Maggie...of course! Maggie has been growing up too fast. She is smiling a ton more lately...as you will see from the videos and photos below. She is much less fussy these days and is really only grumpy when she gets over tired from fighting sleep.

Maggie has been going to ECFE class the last few weeks. She is really enjoying herself. She met her first boyfriend...Mitchell at this week's class. They even made it half way to first base...they held hands. Mitchell is lucky Daddy couldn't be at class because he was meeting with speech kids or he and Mitchell would have needed to have a serious talk about his goals for the future and his relationship with Maggie. But seriously, Maggie is loving the songs that Mommy and Daddy are learning.

Maggie has also been making some trips to school to see Mommy and Daddy's students. The kids love to see her. She has seen both of their first hour classes and Daddy's AP class. Daddy loves his Maggie time during the school day. After visiting school, Mommy and Maggie head to to the community center to walk the indoor track. Maggie is a big hit with the senior citizens.

Final baby shower & Halloween

Maggie had her final baby shower this past weekend! It was a delightful time with no shortage of kids running around!

Fast forward to Sunday and Maggie's first date to the Porterhouse, Grandma Kimmy's favorite restaurant.


And then a stop at Trent and Angie's house. Thankfully for Maggie, Great Auntie Angie provided some modesty!
